Singapore, June 2004: Reiner Ebenhoch has recently started an active role in Medialive Pte Ltd as the Managing Director. For more than 25 years, Reiner Ebenhoch has worked either for or with newspapers. In 1984 he joined Atex, a world-leading supplier of electronic publishing systems in Germany and in 1986 he was transferred to Singapore as the Technical Manager, where he was instrumental in setting up the Asian operations for Atex. He was appointed General Manager – Atex Asia in 1988. Reiner left Atex in 1992 and held various senior management positions within the Asian newspaper industry, including Regional Managing Director for the large Graphic Arts and MAN Roland Web Offset distributor Intergraphica Print & Pack and Director – Asia Pacific for the SCITEX subsidiary PressPoint before re-joining Atex Media Solutions in 1997 as the Regional Director – Asia. He was later promoted Vice President for the Asian region, a position he held until his resignation earlier this year.

Reiner will concentrate on expanding the range of regional representations Medialive already holds with companies, whose products can offer added value to an existing infrastructure at a publisher. “There is a huge demand for products that allow a publisher to harvest extra revenue and cost-saving opportunities by adding extra functionality, such as SMS integration, Asset Management, Event Management, circulation systems, etc. to already installed systems”, says Reiner and adds “ nobody wants to change a whole advertising system just to be able to, lets say, take ads through the internet or SMS!”.
